The fairway driver game is pretty important to how you play if you’re looking to improve your scores on your favorite courses. Throwing a distance driver 225 feet is easy (for me), but it’s not very consistent. You have to flex it on a big anhyzer angle to keep it straight when it lands, and thrown flat it’s not going to get up to speed so you may have a long fade and when it lands on the side it’s going to roll.
Warming up will lead to better, and more consistent scores out on the disc golf course. If you’re playing a competitive round of disc golf I highly recommend you take some time to stretch, get some calisthenics in, and some putts and drives in.
If you’re a disc golfer you know exactly how much better you feel after a round. Some people call disc golf “therapy” but it’s not, it’s therapeutic and it’s great. I think disc golf (overall) has a calming effect on me. We all get wound up from time to time, and sometimes throwing some plastic on the course is just what we need.
